Merry Xmas from eLearning Services!

It's time for a bit of good news to raise your festive spirits in time for Christmas. The eLearning Services team are excited to announce that, next semester, working closely with ICT Services and teaching staff from across the college, we will begin to expand and augment the college's elearning services provision. This will consist of an entirely new approach to learning online, with an easily accessible set of tools embedded within the learning and teaching gateway, designed to enhance our current services, whilst adding a whole lot of exciting new ones.

These new elearning services, coupled with those already provided by our learning and teaching gateway, will create an approach based on "composite services" which will firmly place Adam Smith College at the forefront of elearning in Scotland and beyond.

These tools will be at everyone's disposal come the 2011/2012 Session. However, in order to pilot, review and select the best tools for the college, we need your help. We are currently looking for volunteers to take part in a wide series of pilot activities during semester 2. These pilots will be looking at new functionality in areas such as eAssessment, student eportfolios and classroom management software, not to mention replacement services for our existing VLE platform.

So, if you're keen to get involved, or have any ideas in these areas you'd like to share with us, we'd like to hear from you soon!

Happy Christmas.
